Welding Has September Start At Lewiston Adult Education

Lewiston High School teachers Rebecca Spilecki and Terry Waite took Welding I at Lewiston Adult Education in 2017.

Welding II is returning to Lewiston Adult Education and will give students hours of experience in the skilled trade.

John Clements will teach the class, which begins on Sept. 6. Student welders will meet once a week for three hours.

Both men and women have succeeded in welding classes at Lewiston Adult Education. Students have included local educators. In the fall of 2017, Lewiston High School teachers Rebecca Spilecki and Terry Waite took Welding I.

The fall 2018 class will include instruction on metal inert gas welding (MIG), tungsten inert gas welding (TIG) and Flux-Cored arc welding. All students will receive a certificate documenting their hours of hands-on experience.

For more information about the class, call Lewiston Adult Education at 207-795-4141 or visit their website, www.lewiston.maineadulted.org.
