Lewiston Adult Education classes are open to people ages 17 and older who are not enrolled in high school. A person does not have to live in Lewiston or Auburn to register.

Children cannot attend classes with their parents.

Lewiston Adult Education's Three Sites

Our main office is located at Lewiston High School, 156 East Ave., Lewiston, Maine




Adult Learning Center, first floor of Longley School, 145 Birch St., Lewiston, Maine

The ALC provides classes and testing for the HiSET exam, CASAS testing, citizenship classes, and English language lessons. It is on the left-hand side of the school building.


B Street Community Center, 57 Birch St., Lewiston, Maine

The B Street Community Center has the College Transition Program and has classes for a number of workforce programs.

    Maine Driving Dynamics

    The Maine Driving Dynamics course is a driver improvement course that is designed to improve a student’s defensive driving awareness. This five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits, attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine’s highways.
