This one time session will cover issues relevant to becoming a foster parent in Maine. Policies and procedures that apply to foster/adoptive licensure as well as how to access available resources and supports will be covered. Once you have completed the session, you will be asked to answer ten questions. When you answer the questions correctly you may request an application for licensure. The session is available in two formats and is open to anyone who is a resident of Maine over the age of 21. One option is a Watch Party on ZOOM, followed by a question and answer period. This happens on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 8pm. The second option gives the opportunity to watch a video at your convenience via an email link. FMI or to register for either option contact A Family for ME Recruiter, Kasey McDonough at 207-699-9408/kmcdonough@spurwink.org, call A Family for ME at 1-844-893-6311 or connect online at AFamilyforME@spurwink.org.
