Volunteers at the Green Ladle produced more than 200 meals for retirees and veterans on Thursday morning.
Lewiston Regional Technical Center students, teachers and spouses worked on day three of the effort to help local people, assisted by restaurants including DaVinci’s and the Chick-A-Dee.
She accepted a contribution from a person who walked into the Green Ladle on Thursday morning. The Green Ladle is the culinary trades program of LRTC and is a separate building near the Lewiston High School-LRTC complex.
Chef Dan Caron said checks can be made out to the Green Ladle.
“Hopefully with enough donations we’ll be doing this to April 10th,” Liguori said.
The meal-making effort began on Tuesday with 100, said Green Ladle Catering Coordinator Pat Sarrazin.
“Every day since it’s been growing and growing,” she said.
Cindy Fylstra helped to pack bags with cookies along with LRTC Hospitality Management Instructor Marcella Lessard. Fylstra teaches chemistry at Cony High School in Augusta and is married to LRTC trades instructor Tom Fylstra.
