The Lewiston High School gym entrance, which is located at the rear of the building, will serve as a main entrance during construction work.
Construction of the new addition to Lewiston High School will block the main entrance so students and visitors must enter the gym at the rear of the building.
A perimeter fence is scheduled to go up on Wednesday, Sept. 30, as the first part of the project. The addition will be built at the front of Lewiston High School.
The gym can be reached from an access road between the high school building and Connors Elementary School.
Once people, turn onto the road, they must head toward the parking lot in the back.
The parking lot is next to the gym entrance and overlooks the high school’s athletic fields. Look the the “Home of the Blue Devils” sign over the entrance.
Lewiston Adult Education students must use the same entrance when going inside the building for classes. A staff member will be inside the lobby to direct people to their rooms.
Voters approved of a $13.4 million classroom wing in November 2019. Music and art classrooms, which are now in the basement of the building, will be in the new addition.
Construction of the addition is scheduled to finish in the fall of 2021.
